Hiroshi Akabane

as Director
Hiroshi Akabane was born in Yamanashi, Japan in 1951. After graduating from the Department of Law at Senshu University in 1975, he became an assistant director for TV dramas. In 1985, he joined Kinoshita Productions (now DREAMAX TELEVISION INC.), where Hiroshi debuted as a director for the Japanese TV series called Maido Osawagase Shimasu. This led to his directing several other Japanese TV series such as Great Teacher Onizuka, Kyoshi Binbin Monogatari, and other dramas, which became well-known hits in Japan. In recent years, he directed box-office hit films such as Twiceborn (Nikkatsu, 2020) and The Divine ProtecterMaster Salt Begins (Nikkatsu, 2022).
